Job Description
As an Accounting Manager, you will manage a group of accountants and will be responsible for various data gathering, tracking, and record keeping (financial forecasting, budgeting, and planning; preparing of financial schedules, statements, and reports)
Where You Will Work
Our corporate office is located in the Denver Tech Center. Our office spans the top two floors of the building and features expansive views of the mountains and the downtown skyline.
AIR values relationships and the benefits from working side by side with teammates, therefore this position will be in-office 5 days a week to support operations.
What You Will Do
- Lead a team of accountants, providing guidance, insight, and opportunity for growth and development.
- Manage accounting and financial analyses in one or more financial areas including auditing, budgeting, cost accounting, general accounting, and program cost control and scheduling.
- Be a driving resource to improve processes and communicate policies and procedures to team and other departments.
- Applying advanced accounting concepts, theories and principals to develop solutions to problems. Adhering to FASB guidelines and GAAP, company policies and procedures and other regulations in the performance of duties.
- Setting department and staff goals based on overall department or company goals.
- Providing advice as subject matter expert in the development of accounting software and property operating systems.
- Supervising assigned staff including hiring, training, overseeing and reviewing performance, promoting and terminating or reassigning.
- Performing technical reviews of complex joint venture accounting transactions, including drafting and finalizing Accounting whitepapers.
- Assisting with quarterly and annual technical accounting analyses.
- Assisting the reporting team during quarter end (as needed)
- Representing the Accounting team as the primary contact for explaining current period actual results to outside teams (FP&A, Operations Finance, etc.)
- Leading complex Corporate accounting functions including accruals, debt, equity, and cash flows.
- Assisting with monthly and quarterly fluctuation analyses and prepare key deliverables for Management team.
- Performing SOX control procedures, including performing walkthroughs and providing relevant information to internal and external auditors.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and hold a CPA.
- 6+ years of experience with complex accounting, GAAP and regulatory accounting, budgeting and financial management. Experience related to cost allocations and elimination entries highly preferred.
- Proven success with managing a team of finance professionals through ambiguity while still driving results.
- Prior experiencing working in Real Estate or Public Accounting (Big 4) industries is highly preferred.
- Confident communicator with the level of maturity and presence necessary to influence senior executives and business leaders.
- Thrives on driving innovation and change that will propel the business forward.
- Consistently practices strategic thinking and nimble problem-solving tactics to stay ahead of business priorities.
Additional Information
AIR offers attractive total compensation packages designed to recognize and reward performance including:
- Expected pay range of $95,000 - $125,000 base salary plus annual target bonus. You will be provided a pay rate that is in line with your skills and experience as they relate to the requirements of the job.
