Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management: Oversee a team of 20+ accounting professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous development. Implement effective strategies to transform low performers into high achievers and further develop mid to high performers.
- Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement: Employ Lean Six Sigma principles to streamline processes, eliminate waste, and enhance operational efficiency. Initiate and lead projects focused on process improvement, leveraging data to inform decision-making and drive change.
- Data-Driven Performance Management: Utilize advanced data analytics to monitor team performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement performance management strategies to ensure high quality, accuracy, and timeliness in service delivery.
- Financial Acumen & P&L Ownership: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of financial management principles, taking ownership of the team's P&L. Develop and execute strategies to optimize resources, reduce costs, and improve gross margins.
- Customer Service Excellence: Maintain strong relationships with a diverse clientele, ensuring their needs are met with the highest standard of service. Utilize feedback and performance data to continuously enhance service delivery.
Required Skills
- Leadership & Team Management: Proven experience managing teams of 20+ individual contributors in a dynamic environment.
- Financial Management: Solid understanding of financial principles, including P&L management, with a track record of achieving financial goals.
- Lean Six Sigma: Certification or demonstrated experience applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies to optimize operations.
- Data Analytics & Performance Management: Strong ability in using data to drive decision-making and performance improvement.
- Customer Service: Experience managing diverse customer accounts, with a focus on delivering high-quality, accurate, and timely services.
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with dashboard and performance management tools.
- Background in shared services, manufacturing, or BPO settings.
- Demonstrated success in mentoring and career development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a similar degree.
- Minimum of 4+ years as an Accounting Manager
- 3+ years of experience managing a team of 20+
- 3+ years of experience managing 10+ clients simultaneously
- Working knowledge of US GAAP (or foreign equivalent) and financial statement presentation
- Detail-oriented and able to effectively complete tasks.
- Extensive experience working in a large accounting role, working as a manager/ supervisor within a finance/accounting department.
- Proven track record of experience in supervising, leading, and coaching a team.
- Excellent MS-office or Google Suite experience
- Advanced English
