Join Aprio’s Technology Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) team and help our fast-growing tech and e-commerce clients Account for Anything. Aprio is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for a dynamic Manager to help build and scale our new AI-enabled startup pod while supporting complex, high-value advisory projects.
This is a dual-role position designed for a builder. You will operate at the intersection of finance, technology, and client advisory - leveraging AI-native tools to deliver financials efficiently, while developing the templates, models, and processes that scale across the practice. You will report to the Senior Manager, Technology CAAS, supporting one-time and complex client projects, and carry a dotted-line role into our startup pod delivering fixed-fee, low-touch engagements.
The Manager blends hands-on delivery with capability-building. In the startup pod, you will use AI-native accounting and finance tools (e.g., basis, Rillet, QBO) to take client work the “last mile” - reviewing, refining, and delivering board-ready financials with a light touch. On the project side, you will bring strategic finance and FP&A capability to our most complex clients, partnering with US client leads and offshore teams to quarterback deliverables. Because early-stage pod capacity leaves room to build, you will also create the templates, cash-flow models, and reusable assets the broader group can leverage.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Delivery: Reviews and refines financials to deliver accurate, client-ready monthly reporting.
- Tool-Forward Execution: Uses AI-native accounting and finance tools to drive efficiency, adopting and refining prompts and workflows so the pod delivers consistent quality at scale.
- Quality & Consistency: Serves as the finance review point for pod deliverables, ensuring financials tie out and reporting packages meet Aprio standards before client delivery.
- Financial Modeling & FP&A: Builds budgets, forecasts, 13-week cash flow models, scenario analyses, and KPI dashboards that support strategic decision-making for growth-stage clients.
- Board-Ready Reporting: Translates financial results into clear narratives - highlighting cash flow, runway, unit economics, and working capital - for founders, leadership teams, and boards.
- CFO Advisory Support: Partners with US client leads on core and add-on advisory engagements (e.g., headcount planning, scenario modeling, SKU profitability), owning the analyst-level build and preparing client-facing outputs.
- Project Execution: Supports the Senior Manager, Technology CAAS on one-time and complex client projects - cash-to-accrual conversions, GAAP clean-up, M&A / QoE readiness, and process build-outs.
- Quarterbacking: Coordinates across US client leads, offshore accounting teams, and external advisors (tax, legal, transaction) to keep deliverables on track and accountable.
- Capacity as a Builder: Uses available capacity to create reusable templates, models, SOPs, and dashboards that the broader Technology CAAS group can leverage across clients.
- While this role is primarily focused on delivery and advisory, we expect the Manager to gradually build a market presence and contribute to growth as the position matures - this is a developing, not quota-carrying, expectation.
- Client Expansion: Identifies opportunities to deepen existing relationships - surfacing advisory add-ons and expansion work that arise naturally from delivery, and partnering with client leads to pursue them.
- Networking & Visibility: Builds a professional network over time and represents Aprio thoughtfully in the market, participating in relevant industry or community events and contributing to the firm’s reputation in the technology and startup finance space.
- Origination Support: Contributes to proposals, scoping, and pursuits by preparing models and materials, with a growing role in originating and expanding work as experience and relationships develop.
- Mentorship: Coaches and develops team members, sharing FP&A, modeling, and AI-tool best practices to raise capability across the pod and group.
- Process & Enablement: Contributes to SOPs, playbooks, and workflow blueprints (e.g., Wrike) that standardize how recurring and add-on services are delivered.
- One-Team Mindset: Works fluidly across tech and e-commerce clients, supporting capacity and collaboration in line with our pod-based, one-team model.
