JOB DESCRIPTION:
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Take ownership of key aspects of the closing process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Perform account and transaction reconciliations, identifying and autonomously resolving discrepancies with internal and external stakeholders
- Accurately record revenues ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards
- Partner with Bluevine's Risk team to quantify and analyze allowance for credit losses
- Manage accounts receivable for Bluevine's marketplace partnerships
- Conduct monthly variance analysis on P&L activity, identifying significant changes and trends for management review
- Perform bank reconciliations for various cash accounts
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation through collaboration with cross-functional teams, driving increased operational efficiency
- Prepare supporting schedules for annual financial statement audit
- Enhance documentation of processes
- Participate in the review of internal control
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant degree
- 8+ years of progressive accounting and/or public accounting experience
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and accounting GL systems (Netsuite preferred)
- Experience with database queries and an understanding of data flows
- Ability to partner cross-functionally
- Excellent knowledge of accounting procedures and principles
- Understanding of both financial and operational controls
- Strong analytical mind and an eye for detail
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal.
