Compensation: $20.00–$25.00 per hour (based on education, experience, and qualifications)
Work Schedule: 10–20 hours per week during the academic year; additional hours may be available during summer and semester breaks

The Opportunity

As an Accounting Intern, you will work alongside experienced finance professionals and contribute to core accounting and financial reporting processes. Rather than observing from the sidelines, you will perform meaningful work that supports business operations while building the technical and professional competencies expected of future accounting leaders.

Primary Responsibilities

· Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close.

· Prepare reconciliations for bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts while researching variances.

· Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and management analysis.

· Develop financial schedules and dashboards using Microsoft Excel.

· Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.

· Participate in process improvement initiatives designed to increase efficiency and strengthen financial operations.

· Partner with leaders across accounting, operations, and business functions on special projects.

Requirements

Qualifications

· Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.

· Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 preferred.

· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.

· Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, intellectual curiosity, and attention to detail.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

· Previous accounting, bookkeeping, banking, finance, or internship experience.

· Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
