Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll Excellence (70%)
- Ensure 100% payroll accuracy and timeliness across all employees and contractors
- Master complex multi-jurisdiction compliance and worker classifications
- Proactively collect documentation (I-9s, invoices, tax forms) with executive-level professionalism
- Navigate multi-platform ecosystems (Rippling, Wrapbook, PayPal, Ramp)
- Resolve discrepancies immediately with analytical precision
- Maintain bulletproof audit trails and compliance records
Accounts Payable Support (30%)
- Own vendor payment accuracy and timing
- Drive AP process optimization and month-end close support
- Manage vendor relationships with professional excellence
Core Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance (CPA track preferred)
- 4-6 years progressive payroll experience with proven mastery
- California multi-state compliance expertise (essential)
- Advanced contractor vs. employee classification knowledge
Technical Excellence
- Expert proficiency in enterprise payroll systems (Rippling, Wrapbook, ADP)
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets capabilities
- Strong GAAP knowledge and accounting fundamentals
