Accounting Generalist

Job Description:

The Accounting Generalist will work in partnership with the finance team and assist in the day-to-day responsibilities of the corporate accounting department. The ideal candidate will have critical thinking skills and be detailed oriented and organized. They should have the ability to work independently as well as in a team and have good communication and time management skills. This position reports to the Controller.

Responsibilities:

• Complete device evaluation reports for vendors
• Manage accounting journal entries for month end process
• Maintain accurate records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices
• Perform monthly account audits
• Monitor and assist Accounts Payable Analyst with financial billing and posting of payments
• Monitor and assist Order Management Specialist with sales order entry and accounts receivable
• Create and generate reports for management in Tableau, NetSuite and Excel
• Communicate with co-workers, managers, and clients in a professional manner
• Maintain confidentiality
• Other duties assigned

Basic Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in business or related field (Bachelor’s is preferred)
• 1 year of financial services experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with entering financial data
• Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize tasks
• Excellent written and oral communication 
• Ability to keep information confidential
