Primary Purpose:
This position is primarily responsible for assisting the Financial Reporting Department in meeting regulatory reporting requirements.
The good-faith compensation range for this role is expected to be $90,000 - $110,000, based on the role, market, internal equity, and candidate qualifications.
This position is approved to sit onsite in Suffolk, VA or Richmond, VA. For candidates who do not sit in Suffolk, as-needed travel to Suffolk will be required (10-25% estimate).
Essential Responsibilities:
- Maintain tie-out support binder for earnings press releases and 10Q/10Ks.
- Assist with preparation of annual proxy statement and underlying supporting files.
- Review Form 4s and maintain Section 16 filer information as required.
- Review financial presentations for consistency and accuracy.
- Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
- Partner with process owners to identify SOX control gaps, deficiencies, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Adhere to applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification.
