Job Summary: 

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Coordinator to support a wide range of accounting and administrative functions. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations, with responsibilities spanning accounts payable, reconciliations, tax support, and general departmental tasks. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, a collaborative mindset, and a solid foundation in bookkeeping or accounting.


Essential Functions & Competencies:

In this position, you are expected to:

  • Perform all Accounts Payable functions including but not limited to vendor management, vendor bill processing and payment issuing, 1099 issuing, company credit card reconciliation, employee expense reimbursement.
  • Process customer credit card payments, review and post daily bank transactions, make check deposits.
  • Work with outside collection agent and inside Rev Gen team on aging invoices.
  • Act as sales tax administrator to manage tax exemptions, conduct monthly sales tax reconciliation.
  • Assist in departmental organizational duties such as, but not limited to: filing, scanning, copying and data entry.
  • Cross train with other members in the Accounting team and provide temporary back up support when needed.

You should have:

  • Associate Degree in Business or minimum 2 years experience in Bookkeeping functions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with individuals both inside and outside the organization.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Excel & Word with aptitude to learn new software and technologies.
  • Experience with NetSuite, Expensify, and/or Avalara preferred.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to adhere to strict operational procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize own workload.

Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A

Reports to: Director of Accounting

Location: Mount Pleasant, South Carolina (Hybrid)

Compensation: $50,000 to $55,000 annual salary
