The Role: Accounting AssociateBranson School is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Accounting Associate to join our four-person Business Office team. This role is responsible for supporting the full cycle of Accounts Payable operations, employee and parent reimbursements, corporate credit card administration, expense reporting, student billing support, account reconciliations, and financial reporting activities. Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable & Vendor Management
- Manage the full Accounts Payable cycle, including vendor setup and maintenance, payment processing, approval tracking, and 1099 reporting compliance.
- Prepare and issue annual 1099 forms for eligible vendors and contractors.
- Administer speaker agreements and ensure proper recording, payment, and contractual compliance.
- Process employee and parent reimbursements while ensuring adherence to school policies and procedures.
- Support the implementation and ongoing administration of Ramp expense management software.
- Manage corporate credit card expenses, reconciliations, and policy compliance.
- Prepare monthly budget reports and process budget adjustments within the accounting system.
- Reconcile quarterly Use Tax filings.
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and financial reporting support.
- Assist with annual audit preparation and provide requested documentation.
- Support student billing and parent accounts within Blackbaud Tuition Management and reconcile related general ledger accounts.
- Process remote bank deposits and export daily banking activity.
- Pick up and distribute Business Office mail and checks as needed.
- Coordinate Business Office Google Forms and financial data collection processes.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation for transactions and agreements.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to improve processes and provide excellent customer service to faculty, staff, students, and families.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of accounting, accounts payable, bookkeeping, or related experience required.
- Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT and/or Ramp is preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
- Experience in nonprofit organizations or independent school environments is preferred.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and time-management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
- Positive, collaborative, and service-oriented approach to work.
