We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Associate to join our Finance team. This is an exciting role for someone who wants to grow their career in accounting while gaining exposure across multiple areas of the function. The Accounting Associate will play a critical role in supporting daily operations and month-end close while partnering cross-functionally with Accounting, Revenue, and Operations.

You will learn and contribute to a variety of accounting processes, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Property, Plant & Equipment (PPE), Cash, and Tax, with exposure to collections, tax compliance, and revenue recognition.


** Please note that this opportunity is located in New York, NY, and requires this hire to work from our office four days a week. **


Here’s what you can expect as an Accounting Associate:

  • Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, and cash postings
  • Support the month-end close process by preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses
  • Partner with the Collections team to help track and resolve outstanding receivables
  • Assist in fixed asset accounting (PPE tracking, depreciation schedules, capitalization)
  • Contribute to tax compliance, filings, and audit support
  • Provide support on revenue recognition and contract review
  • Help drive process improvements and automation within the accounting function
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Operations, and Business leaders


About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA track a plus)
  • 0–2 years of accounting or internship experience (public accounting or SaaS/tech company experience a plus)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Eager to learn multiple aspects of accounting and grow with the company
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) is a plus

Pay Transparency

At VTS, we pride ourselves on articulating a clear and transparent philosophy around equitable, impartial compensation that will allow us to recruit and retain an exceptional team. The base salary is market-driven at the time of offer and is based on tier 1 market data. The salary for this role will range between $55,000 and $80,000 and is determined by several factors, including your skills, prior relevant experience, quality of interviews, leveling, and geography.
