Local, family-owned company that was awarded Tampa Bay Times Top Workplace 2 consecutive years has TWO openings in Accounting. Only candidates with experience in Accounts Receivable OR General Ledger/Financial Reporting should apply. Positions are in our main office located in Seminole. Hours are 9-5 with a 1 hour paid lunch! 
Financial Reporting Responsibilities include, not limited to:

  • providing timely and accurate monthly financial reports
  • monitoring and reconciling all association bank account balances
  • reviewing general ledger accounts for accuracy
  • coordinating with associations' CPAs for year-end tax returns and audits.
  • preparing annual budget package for distribution to managers
  • ordering maintenance assessment and special assessment coupons
  • depositing non-assessment checks
  • monitoring FDIC limits for all association accounts
  • acting as the financial liaison between association treasurer and RPM


Account Receivable Responsibilities include, not limited to:

  • Process high volume of assessment payments.
  • Post late charges and attorney’s payments.
  • Research and respond to customer inquiries to resolve payment disputes.
  • Order Maintenance and Special Assessment coupons.
  • Collection and deposit of assessments into bank accounts
  • Oversight of collection and lien filing, which includes preparation of reminder or late notices.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years’ experience in A/R
  • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • The ability to type swiftly and accurately (20+ words a minute)
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Basic understanding of Windows operating system
  • Highly reliable with the ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • The ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and follow-up on customer issues.
  • Must be customer service oriented (empathetic, responsive, patient, and conscientious)
  • Ability to multi-task, stay focused and self-manage.
  • Strong team orientation and customer focus
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with your team and customers.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be willing to submit to criminal background check and drug screening.
