Accounting Assistant – Payment Processing
Location: Grand Island, NE
Hours: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Pay: Up to $20.00/hour, based on experience

Credit Management Services, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our Accounting Department. This position plays an important role in accurately processing payments and supporting a variety of accounting functions. If you enjoy working with numbers, have strong attention to detail, and take pride in accuracy, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
As an Accounting Assistant, you will:
- Process and accurately post payments into our system.
- Prepare daily deposit.
- Provide consumer summary of accounts for collections, including payments made and other account activity.
- Sort and organize incoming payments from multiple sources.
- Balance payment batches and verify totals for accuracy.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the Accounting Department.
- Assist with additional accounting and bookkeeping duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Associate's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred (or currently pursuing).
- One year of bookkeeping, accounting, banking, payment processing, or related experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent keyboarding and 10-key data entry skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
