Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the completion of month-end and year-end close of financial accounts, in accordance with the close schedule and deadlines
- Prepare month-end closing journal entries including accruals, prepaids, revenue, and cash entries.
- Review various general ledger accounts and conduct account reconciliations, including investigating fluctuations to understand the movement of balances.
- Collaborate with department managers on expenses, budget, and overall spending.
- Manage our accounts payable process by collaborating with our external AP team and liaising with our internal stakeholders
- Support operational finance processes such as expense reimbursements, corporate credit card accounts, and banking transactions
- Assist with the external audits by providing supporting schedules and documentation as requested.
- Manage various financial reports, special department-specific projects, and ad hoc reporting as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field.
- 1+ years of experience with a blend of public accounting/audit and industry accounting experience is a plus
- Prior experience in a growing operational startup is a plus
- Experience with Netsuite, Excel, and Tableau (or similar) is a plus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Flexibility to adapt as our needs, team, and company evolve
