Lavipharm is seeking an Accountant based in Athens, reporting to the Accounting Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting accounting operations, ensuring compliance with tax and financial regulations, supporting financial reporting activities and contributing to the smooth operation of the Finance Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Assists in the preparation and submission of all tax declarations for all tax items (income, V.A.T, withholding taxes, real estate taxes etc.)
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
- Complies with IFRS standards and Greek tax code regulations
- Maintains financial security by following internal controls
- Collaborates with external auditors to conduct statutory and tax certificate audits
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
- 3-5 years of experience in a relevant position (preferably within the pharmaceutical industry)
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and awareness of business trends
- Familiarity with financial accounting statements and knowledge of tax legislation
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
- Computer literacy, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
Skills Required
