Working Location: Kai Tak, Kowloon
Employment Duration: 24-month contract
Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial accounting and reporting of a group of companies, including period end accounts closing and consolidation
- Prepare statutory accounts and reporting package to holding company
- Compile and submit tax filings in compliance with relevant tax rules / regulations
- Perform variance analysis and co-ordinate the compilation of budget and periodic management reports
- Assist in monitoring and implementation of new accounting standards and tax legislations, and support study of accounting and tax issues
- Assist in periodic reconciliation between upstream systems and Finance modules, interacting with relevant teams to analyze and resolve differences
- Assist with internal control review of processes /audit, including necessary updates to related processes and procedures
- Ensure compliance with relevant CLP accounting and budgeting policies and procedures
- Participate in system and process improvement initiatives and other ad-hoc assignments
Requirements:
- A recognized university Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant discipline
- Professional qualification of a recognized accountancy body is preferred
- At least 3 years’ relevant hands-on working experience in accounting, preferably in an ERP environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel
- Proficiency in Oracle will be an advantage
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese. Proficiency in Mandarin will be an advantage
- Detail oriented
- Articulate and able to communicate with colleagues to obtain clarification or resolve issues
- Able to work with moderate supervision
