Position Summary:
The Accountant II will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations. This position is ideal for an individual with a strong accounting background who is looking to advance their career in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and schedules for management and regulatory purposes.
Month-End and Year-End Closings: Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment reconciliations, and resolving discrepancies.
Internal Controls: Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Audit Support: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial transactions and reports.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant accounting regulations, standards, and best practices.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of efficient accounting procedures.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation or progress towards certification is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with SAP or similar systems is a plus.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with team members and other departments.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
