This is a remote position.
NOBZO is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Accountant to oversee day-to-day financial operations, maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial reports, manage reconciliations and payments, and ensure compliance with applicable Nigerian tax and regulatory requirements.
The role will also support budgeting, forecasting, payroll processing, audit coordination, and the continuous improvement of NOBZO’s financial controls and processes.
The ideal candidate should have strong accounting and analytical skills, sound knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations, proficiency in accounting software and Excel/Google Sheets, and a high level of integrity and attention to detail.
Requirements
- - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- - 3–5 years of relevant professional accounting experience.
- - ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification is an advantage.
- - Strong knowledge of Nigerian accounting standards, taxation, and statutory compliance requirements.
- - Practical knowledge of PAYE, VAT, WHT, CIT, and related statutory obligations.
- - Proficiency in accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms.
- - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- - Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, account reconciliation, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- - Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and numerical competence.
- - Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- - High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential financial information.
- - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- - Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
