- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor cash flow, expenses, and budget performance.
- Assist in preparing financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements.
- Process payroll and related statutory deductions where applicable.
- Maintain the general ledger and perform journal entries.
- Support internal and external audit activities.
- Monitor financial transactions and identify discrepancies or irregularities.
- Assist management with financial analysis and decision-making through timely reporting.
- Ensure proper filing and safekeeping of financial records and supporting documents.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Experience in preparing financial reports, reconciliation, and statutory compliance documentation.
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho Books, SAP, or similar platforms is an advantage.
- ACA, ACCA, ICAN, ANAN, or equivalent professional certification is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
