What an Accountant will do here…

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to manage full-cycle accounting operations. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of accounting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting.


Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and review bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate financial records and proper documentation
  • Process payroll for employees using ADP, ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Administer employee benefits, including health insurance
  • Monitor cash flow and prepare internal financial reports (including AR/AP tracking)
  • Prepare and submit government filings and reports (e.g., GST/HST)
  • Coordinate and prepare documentation for funding programs
  • Track and report on grant/project expenditures to ensure compliance
  • Manage company insurance policies, ensuring proper coverage and compliance
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Utilize accounting software (e.g., Sage 50) to maintain accurate financial records
  • Perform other accounting-related duties as required
  • Criminal background check required

  • Education and/or experience in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage 50)
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Legal experience is an asset
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Skills Required

  • Full-cycle accounting experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
  • Monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
  • Bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Payroll processing using ADP
  • Employee benefits administration (including health insurance)
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage 50
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Prepare and submit government filings and reports (e.g., GST/HST)
