Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to manage financial records, support project-based financial planning, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will play a key role in budgeting, reporting, and auditing processes, while providing valuable insights to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate project cash flow statements, ensuring proper tracking of inflows and outflows.
- Conduct project feasibility studies, including financial analysis, cost estimation, and profitability assessments.
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling accounts.
- Prepare periodic financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Generate detailed financial reports for management review, highlighting trends, variances, and key insights.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Supervise and coordinate internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and timely submission of documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records for audit and reference purposes.
- Liaise with banks, auditors, and other financial institutions as required.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA) is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience in project-based accounting and feasibility analysis is an advantage.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
