LP Propane, LLC is currently seeking an Accountant based in Idaho Falls, Idaho. This role will assist in preparing financial reports, completing journal entries, budgets, financial analysis, and cost reporting.
The Accountant will primarily be focused on:
- Analyze and report operating costs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Compiles budget data and prepares for presentation.
- Compare current financial statements to applicable previous periods and identify/explain anomalies and trends.
- Direct daily activities of A/P, A/R (depending on entity), analysis, and cost accounting activities.
- Account for and reconcile IER activities.
- Prepares and completes general ledger entries.
- Complete gross profit and overhead analysis.
- Review and reconcile payroll each pay period.
- Complete intercompany accounting transactions.
- Analyze and report on operating costs and make improvement recommendations.
- Completes the inventory management and controls processes for the Company.
- Administers companywide American Express credit card program.
The preferred candidate for the Accountant will have the following:
- Three to five years experience in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Ability to communicate well through verbal and written skills.
- Strong computer skills and able to learn company systems and processes.
- Adheres to the company’s values and ethical expectations
- Able to effectively multitask.
- Strong understanding of reporting and financial systems.
- Strong understanding of excel.
Skills Required
- Three to five years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field
