We are growing and seeking an Accountant with experience working in the Government Contracting industry to join our team. You will be responsible for General Ledger/Month-End Close, Accounts Payable and Audit Support.
This is a hybrid position working mostly remote but going into our Arlington, VA headquarters as needed for meetings.
What you will do:
General Ledger/Month-End Close Process
- Preparation of journal entries and accruals
- Prepare account reconciliations with supporting schedules for multiple legal entities
- Primary areas of focus are Fixed Assets, Prepaid Expenses, and Accrued Expenses
Accounts Payable
- Process and review vendor invoices to ensure proper charging and adherence to government regulations and company policies
- Process and review vendor payments for multiple bank accounts, including Bill Pay, ACH, Wire, etc.
- Review employee expense reports to ensure proper charging and adherence to government regulations and company policies
- Manage vendor setups and changes to meet government compliance requirements
- Support the Ariba Buying and Invoicing Process
Audit Support
- Prepare monthly supporting schedules for financial reviews
- Support annual financial audit
- Support Government Accounting compliance and audits
- Support Indirect Rate Cost Submission
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 3+ years of experience in Government Contracting accounting
- 2+ years of experience with accounting software - strongly prefer Unanet
- Experience in processing AP with Purchase Orders
- Solid understanding of Federal Travel Regulations (FTR)
- Solid understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 31, specifically in determining allowability and allocability of costs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

The projected salary range listed for this position is annualized. This is a general guideline and not a guarantee of salary. Salary is one component of our total compensation package and the specific salary offered is determined by various factors, including, but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, geographic location, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements.
Salary Range
$84,000—$138,800 USD
