On behalf of our Client a global pharmaceutical company, IQVIA is looking for an Accountant & Controller who can join an exciting working environment in a dynamic atmosphere.
The position will be based in our Milan office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As part of the company's growth and further professionalization, we are now looking for an experienced, proactive and team-oriented Accountant & Controller to support the Finance Director Italy and our developing team.
The successful candidate must demonstrate great flexibility in dealing with a wide range of activities and be able to work independently with minimal guidance in a fast-paced environment.
Main responsibilities include:
- Support of the Finance Director Italy
- General ledger accounting in SAP
- Takeover of accounts payable (including invoice processing in Coupa)
- Commercial control of (travel) expense reports in Concur
- Management of accounts receivable (due date monitoring, dunning letters)
- Release and monitoring of customer orders
- VAT fulfillments
- Support with annual planning and forecasts
- Preparation of analyses and reports
- Monthly and annual financial statements support
- Communication with internal stakeholders, suppliers and customers
- Support in procurement activities, including vendor management
- Generating, monitoring, revising of purchase orders and exception forms
- Assistance with budget tracking
- Close collaboration with the external accounting company and joint solution of invoicing problems, including direct contact to the suppliers.
- Special project support
REQUIREMENTS:
- Accounting degree or business degree
- Experience in financial accounting in a medium-sized company (ideally in the pharmaceutical / biotechnology industry)
- First experience in controlling (financial planning, ad hoc analyses and reports)
- Efficient and effective verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English
- Advanced experience with MS Excel and first experience with SAP (FI). Coupa and Concur will be a plus
- Ability to prioritize, dealing with changing priorities and workload
- Ability to work independently with high focus on target groups and a pro-active approach to deliver high-quality results
- Strong internal and external stakeholder management skills
- Pragmatic attitude and ability to learn quickly
- Inclusiveness and effective teamwork and collaboration skills
TYPE OF CONTRACT:
Temporary contract, starting with 12 months contract.
