You'll report directly to our Director of Accounting & Finance, who owns overall responsibility for accounting, our ERP system (SAP), and financial close. - Prepare and file VAT returns and other tax filings (e.g. EC Sales Lists, OSS)
- Support year-end close, tax audits, and collaboration with auditors and tax advisors
- Help optimise and digitise processes within the SAP ERP system
- Coordinate with other teams (e.g. Procurement, Legal, Controlling)
Requirements
- A completed commercial apprenticeship plus certification as a Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK) and/or a comparable qualification, e.g. a relevant degree (Bachelor's/Master's in Accounting)
- At least 3 years of accounting experience in the IT/software/cloud sector; experience in an international setting is a plus
- Strong knowledge of German commercial law (HGB) and EU VAT law
- Experience with accruals, reconciliations, VAT, and supporting year-end close and audits
- Confident with accounting software (SAP Business One) and MS Excel; experience with Google Sheets and other tools is a plus
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as working with tax advisors and auditors, is a plus
- A careful, structured, and self-directed way of working
- Fluent German and excellent written and spoken English (English is our company language)
- Eligibility to work in Spain
Benefits
- A role with real responsibility, where you'll have a direct hand in shaping how we work
- A fast-paced, international environment in an innovative tech company
- Flexible hours and the option to work hybrid
- Modern tools (SAP, Power BI, AI, and more)
- A friendly, international team with a flat structure and open, honest communication
Skills Required
