Accountant / Accounting Officer

We're looking for an Accountant or Accounting Officer to join our Business Advisory team in Chinchilla on a permanent basis. In this role you'll support our advisers by preparing compliance, tax and accounting work for a diverse range of clients across companies, partnerships, trusts and individual businesses. • Assist in preparing tax returns, financial statements, reconciliations and business advice for companies, partnerships, trusts and individual clients

• Complete work to a high technical standard, meeting deadlines and budget expectations on every job

• Assist with general bookkeeping duties as required

• Liaise directly with the ATO and other government bodies on client matters

• Maintain accurate, compliant work papers and client files in line with Findex Group standards

• Keep your technical knowledge current to ensure ongoing compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements

• Locally connected in Chinchilla, with the backing and resources of a national firm

• Structured learning and development to build your technical and professional skills

• Study support for your CA, CPA or equivalent qualification

• A relevant degree qualification (Accountant level)

• Commenced or working towards CA, CPA or equivalent (Accountant level)

• Solid experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role, ideally within public practice

• Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and government bodies

• A positive, proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
