About this PositionThe Accountant I is an entry-level accounting professional responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations. This role assists with maintaining accurate financial records, performing basic accounting functions, and supporting month-end close activities under the guidance of senior accounting staff.Salary range $52K - $62K AnnualResponsibilities & Qualifications
Required qualifications
- Assist with daily accounting activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and data entry
- Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, as needed
- Review transactions for accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Maintain organized accounting records and documentation
- Assist with internal and external audit requests
- Support compliance with GAAP and internal controls
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 0–2 years of relevant accounting experience (internships acceptable)
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting systems a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Preferred qualifications
- Internship or prior experience in a corporate accounting environment
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Workday, Office Connect, Blackline)
- Progress toward CPA or other accounting certification
