A growing healthcare organization seeks a detail-oriented, highly organized Account Services Coordinator to support administrative and account management functions. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate account information, processing payments and invoices, monitoring account activity, preparing reports, and assisting customers and business representatives with account-related needs.
The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, comfortable working with financial and confidential information, and able to manage multiple accounts and deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and business account information.
- Process and post payments accurately and within established timeframes.
- Monitor account activity and perform routine audits to identify outstanding balances, declined payments, or discrepancies.
- Assist with resolving payment issues and follow up on outstanding account balances.
- Prepare and distribute invoices and other account-related correspondence.
- Process account additions, updates, and terminations as needed.
- Maintain accurate account status and eligibility information within applicable systems.
- Respond to account, payment, billing, and general service inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain and verify recurring account rosters and customer information.
- Prepare routine reports and assist with monthly account reconciliation.
- Communicate with business representatives regarding account changes, payments, and other administrative needs.
- Maintain organized and confidential electronic and paper records.
- Assist with general administrative functions and other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare administration, accounts receivable, account management, billing, or a related administrative role preferred.
- Experience working with electronic health record (EHR), account management, or billing systems preferred.
- Basic knowledge of payment processing and account reconciliation.
- Strong data-entry skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
