The Account Sales Manager is responsible for managing named accounts, supporting medium sized sales activities, and delivering technical solutions aligned with customer needs. This role requires strong technical understanding, the ability to negotiate within established frameworks, and close collaboration with sales support teams. You will work across a medium sized territory, handling diverse clients and contributing to commercial success.
As an Account Sales Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing named customer accounts, with new account additions occurring only through review and approval
- Selling products and systems requiring technical knowledge, including limited customization within established guidelines
- Contributing to pricing frameworks and negotiating client specific conditions where appropriate
- Handling diverse clients across a region and supporting medium sized sales opportunities
- Collaborating with technical sales support teams to deliver customer focused solutions
- Leading a department or portfolio with large, estimated orders
- Maintaining a strong local focus across a medium sized territory
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of sales experience)
- Have a minimum of 3 years of additional experience in account sales
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills
- Have strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities
- Be able to influence others and lead small teams
- Show the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills and strong analytical and organizational abilities
