Summary of Role:

As an Account Representative with Monterey Financial, you will help consumers take control of their financial future by utilizing excellent customer service and negotiating skills.

Essential Responsibilities:

·         Assist consumers with account level questions and adjustments

·         Negotiate and process payment on accounts in various stages of delinquency

·         Understand and adhere to MFS and Client policies and procedures

·         Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and skills:

·         Reliability and the desire to learn

·         Excellent communication, active listening and problem solving skills

·         Ability to provide excellent customer service

·         Comfortable with fast-paced environments

·         Basic math and typing skills

·         Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software

·         Strong time management skills and ability to multitask

·         Effectively identify and solve problems

·         Basic credit and/or collection knowledge a plus

Education and/or Experience.

·         High school diploma or equivalent.

·         Customer Service Experience or Call Center Experience (preferred, not required).

Physical Demands:
This job operates its functions in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear using a telephone headset and is required to sit for a long period while using a computer. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
