Job Description

• Following up on unresolved claims.

• Make phone calls and use insurance company websites to check on claim status.

• Identify why payment has not been received from the payer or why it has been denied/underpaid by the payer.

• Take appropriate actions to resolve issues in a way that results in payment and/or complete closure of insurance balance.

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Medical billing experience is helpful.

• Problem solving, research, organization, detail oriented, flexibility to work on competing priorities 

• Able to work independently, identify patterns, make informed decisions, correctly identifying root causes to determine appropriate actions and outcomes

• 2+ years of experience in eligibility/enrollment for medicaid and social security disability programs.

• Ability to completely and concisely summarize important details in account notes and excellent verbal communication skills are a must.

Skills Required

  • 2+ years of experience in eligibility/enrollment for Medicaid and Social Security Disability programs
  • Medical billing experience
  • Problem solving, research, organization, attention to detail, flexibility to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to work independently, identify patterns, and determine root causes to decide appropriate actions
  • Ability to concisely summarize important details in account notes and excellent verbal communication skills
