Account Operations Specialist Sr
The Senior Account Operations Specialist is responsible for processing complex back-office functions related to new accounts, account maintenance and provides enhanced customer support. The role ensures compliance and supports the training and development of team members. Additionally, the Senior Specialist will assist in mentoring and training associates under the supervision of management.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Assists in new account processing for Insured Cash Sweep (ICS), Certificate of Deposit Account Registry Service (CDAR), compromised, and employee accounts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Processes account and customer level maintenance requests, such as name and account title changes, beneficiary, address and statement updates.
- Assists with complex customer support tasks, including check orders, verfications and alerts, debit card and visa check card requests, and limit increases.
- Performs advanced account research and handle escalated customer inquiries.
- Monitors compliance with regulatory requirements and banking policies.
- Identifies areas for process improvement and assists in implementation of strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provides training, mentoring, and support to team members.
- Assist with overseeing the day-to-day operations, including daily report review, and performing quality oversight of completed tasks.
- Responsible for user acceptance testing (UAT), audit responses, and transformational initiatives.
Educational Requirements
- Vocational and/or Technical Education Preferred
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of banking, financial services, or operations experience.
- Knowledge of consumer account operations, risk, controls, and quality standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills with the ability to resolve issues independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of banking operations experience, preferably within Deposit, Consumer, or Account Operations.
- Experience serving as a subject matter expert (SME), team lead, or mentor.
- Experience with audit support, quality control, operational risk, reconciliations, or data integrity reviews.
- Experience supporting training, documentation, UAT testing, or process improvement initiatives.
