Approvely is looking for an Account Manager to support the Head of Sales and help guide prospective and new customers through the early stages of working with Approvely.
This role is ideal for someone who already has experience working within a sales organization or supporting account executives and is comfortable managing pipeline activity, customer communication, and onboarding coordination. You will play an important role in ensuring prospects move efficiently from initial demo through onboarding and activation, while helping maintain strong operational discipline across the sales process.
Because we are a startup, this role requires someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable wearing multiple hats while working closely with sales, engineering, and product teams.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Engagement
Support the Head of Sales in managing inbound and outbound opportunities
Conduct introductory platform demos for prospective customers
Screen and review new merchant applications
Assist prospects through the early stages of the sales process
Coordinate meetings with prospects, partners, and conference contacts
Support follow-ups and documentation after sales meetings
Manage the onboarding process for new customers from application through activation
Collect required documentation and ensure onboarding submissions are complete
Coordinate internally with underwriting, compliance, and engineering teams
Track onboarding progress and ensure customers move efficiently through the process
Monitor shared Slack channels where customers interact with the Approvely team
Ensure sales, onboarding, and account management questions are addressed quickly
Escalate technical or integration-related issues to engineering when necessary
Help maintain strong communication between customers and internal teams
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM for leads, deals, and onboarding progress
Track deal stages and customer interactions
Provide visibility to leadership on pipeline activity and deal progress
Ensure strong CRM discipline and pipeline organization
Assist with scheduling and coordination for conferences and outbound sales efforts
Conduct prospect research and support targeted outreach
Send documentation, track follow-ups, and help keep deals moving forward
Ensure customers move efficiently through the pipeline while maintaining a great experience
2–4 years of experience working within a sales organization, account management role, or sales operations role
Experience supporting account executives or managing early-stage deals
Strong experience working with CRM systems (Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment
Experience working in Slack-based collaboration environments
Experience in fintech, SaaS, payments, or technology companies is a plus
