About the Job: 

The Qt Company is a global software company headquartered in Finland that provides a cross -platform integrated development environment. Currently, Qt is used by customer in a wide range of industries in Japan and we are expanding sales of Qt product lineup and related services to further strengthen our customers in the Japan market. In this role, you will be responsible for sales activities on companies that develops embedded devices and applications in the industrial automation, medical, consumer electronics, commercial equipment, transportation, defense, retail. Japan market is one of the most important markets for Qt and it will be a great career advancement opportunity for account managers.

You will:

    • Aim to achieve sales targets for assigned industries and accounts (existing and new) through solution sales activities (proposals, negotiations, contracts) related to Qt product lines (*Qt product lines: SW integrated development environment, UI test automation tools, source code static analysis tools, professional services)
    • Understand and define issues at software development sites, identify needs, and propose solutions using Qt product lines.
    • As an account owner, collaborate with internal stakeholders (solution engineers, etc.), maximize the use of internal resources, and lead and manage the account toward closing.
    • Build mid- to long-term business relationships with existing accounts, promote horizontal development for sales expansion, and establish a continuous pipeline.

    About You

      • Experience in corporate solution sales (experience in building mid- to long-term business relationships and proactively closing mid- to long-term sales cycles)
      • Self-motivated, proactive, and persistent in striving to achieve goals
      • Able to proactively contact a wide range of clients (new and existing) and continuously seek out new opportunities
      • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
      • High level of communication skills and teamwork
      • Customer-centric mindset

      Beneficial skills: 

      • Experience and proven track record in software solution sales
      • Experience and track record of selling software licenses to C-level technical managers, technical managers, product managers, and project managers
      • Experience in new business development sales
      • Understanding and knowledge of embedded device development or software development processes (technical background or education in a technical field a plus)
      • Solution sales experience in one of the following industries
      • Solution sales experience in one of the following industries
        • Automotive, industrial automation, medical, consumer electronics, commercial equipment, transportation, defense, retail
      • Business-level English, Native-level Japanese

      • ソフトウェア開発現場での課題を理解、定義し、ニーズを引き出し、Qt製品群による課題解決提案を行う
      • アカウントオーナーとして、社�ステークホルダー(ソリューションエンジニア等)との連携をとり、社�リソースを最大限に活用し、クローズに向けた指揮・管理を行う
      • 既存アカウントとの中長期的なビジネス関係の構築及び、拡販に向けた横展開を進め、継続的なパイプラインを構築する
      • 新規アカウントの開拓及び関係構築を進め、継続的なパイプラインを構築する
