Job Description
We are looking for an Account Manager to join our Germany institutional team in Munich dedicated to servicing insurance clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering and strengthening a strategic business relationship In particular, we are looking for a candidate with expertise in the area of insurance treasury and overlay solutions, as the role has a special focus on delivering customized overlay strategies, including foreign exchange, interest rate, duration, and asset-liability management solutions, as well as liquidity and treasury optimization programs that support insurers' balance sheet objectives and regulatory requirements. In this role the successful candidate will work very closely together with the insurance portfolio management team in Munich.
The role will also collaborate closely with other key internal stakeholders as well like, product specialists, structuring experts, legal and compliance officers, etc.
Requirements
Minimum five years of relevant experience in in the German market in a related role
Advanced degree (Masters or MBA) with an emphasis in Finance and Economics or a related, quantitative/analytical field from an accredited, leading business school or university
CFA II or equivalent is preferred
Portfolio management or trading experience is preferred given the roles focus on overlay/ treasury solutions
Personable with ability to develop client relationships into strategic partnerships.
Thought leadership in identifying new business opportunities and supporting PIMCO initiatives to develop our real estate platform.
Ability to develop collaborative internal relationships with key stakeholders within the team and across the firm and to effectively influence decisions at a senior level.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, demonstrating leadership, initiative, and results orientation.
Proactive self-starter with strong leadership skills, able to inspire and motivate colleagues.
Entrepreneurial attitude and strong desire to build a business.
