Role Summary:
Our objective is to build the most loved baby brands so that there are no more boring nurseries! As an Account Manager, you will help grow new business on our e-Commerce platforms. You will build, communicate, and maintain our vision of creating productive working relationships and collaborating with our online retailers such as Bloomingdale’s, Maisonette, McGee & Co., Pottery Barn Kids, and Crate&kids. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of managing specific categories and accounts to create the product of choice and fulfill our consumers’ needs (client queries, identifying growth opportunities, and analyzing sales trends). Our goal for this role is to create sales strategies and build relationships by promoting “Wow” customer experiences!
What you’ll be doing:
- Responsible for the execution and monitoring of sales plans, targets, and budgets within the territory and in line with the overall company sales strategy
- Develop and maintain strong account relationships, working effectively with retail partners to know their business and act as the first point of contact.
- Provide excellent account management, utilizing sales tools such as brand plans, customer reports, and sales analysis reports to communicate plans and deals
- Communicate and inform retail partners of continuous product improvements and product launches, pricing, photography, marketing, and content changes to ensure effective product placements both in-store and online
- Responsible for up-to-date product knowledge and training of retailers’ personnel
- Provide support and assistance to Finance and Customer Services, on issues such as credit and distribution, to communicate account efficiencies and updates
- Works cross functional with internal teams such as Brand, Marketing and Supply chain to gain buy in and execute business needs
- Responsible to keep up to date on brand/product distribution sheet, promotional calendar, and account goals weekly
- Handles majority of escalated daily issues independently
- Identifies opportunities for improvement on team; develops solutions and implements with the following in mind: minimizing complexity, creating sustainable, repeatable processes
- Conducts root-cause analysis of mistakes and unintended outcomes, and has recommendations for improvement
- Actively learns about the industry and competitive landscape and applies learnings to team
What you bring to the table:
- 2+ years of proven relevant experience in e-Commerce Account Management or related field
- Bachelor's degree from 4-year university preferred
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, analytical background, presentation, and negotiation
- Working knowledge of delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
- Experience conducting and analyzing wholesale gross profit margins and sales report
- Known as a go-to, trusted resource in own area of expertise
- Ability to perform basic data analysis to make decisions and present a POV
- Exhibits full ownership over tasks, anticipating failure points and escalating follow ups to get things done
- Demonstrates mutually beneficial decision-making with our partners focusing on the long-term relationship
