Job Description
Provide a single view of the business to the customer and be directly responsible and accountable for the success of our retention and cross sell/upsell strategy, through coordination with the underwriting and claims team to ensure differentiated and superior customer service.
Responsibilities
- Retain not less than 90% of the business that was underwritten prior year
- Ensure surveys are conducted for all strategic corporate schemes 6 months after renewal & 2months to the subsequent renewal date
- Send renewal notices/ proposals are to clients 45 days prior to expiry of the policy. For corporate accounts, organize meetings to motivate renewal closure.
- Work hand in hand with customer service section to ensure SMS reminders are send to retail customers 14 days to renewal date
- Cross-sell and upsell on existing business with minimum 10% organic growth per LOB”
- Adhere to credit control policy i.e. upfront premium collection as a norm. Follow up with the clients to ensure that premium is paid for all debits raised and that policy statements and invoices for premium payments are prepared on a timely basis.
- Provide all required documentation i.e. risk details, premium payment plans etc. as per underwriting/renewal checklist for verification to Underwriting Manager while placing cover
- Timely delivery of policy documents, contracts etc. to clients
- Make available Authorization letters to clients should there be a delay in the issuing of medical cards
- Follow up on verification and dispatch of cards for new members.
- Maintain an updated pipeline for renewal and cross selling for SME and Retail Sectors
Experience & Qualifications
1.A Bachelor’s degree in Business
2.COP
3. 2 years within an insurance environment
4. Skills & Competencies:
- Good communication skills Resilience.
- Current in political, and social affairs
- Computer literate
- Diplomacy and tact
- Honesty and integrity
- Good assessment and analytical skills
- Ability to interact at all levels
- Knowledge of the insurance market
