The Account Executive has 2–4 years of experience on political campaigns, Capitol Hill, trade associations, public affairs agencies, etc. You play a role on 2–3+ client accounts (depending on size of account). In this role, you take a primary role in executing SOW activities (media relations, content creation, digital activity, design work, research, monitoring, reports, etc.). You pay attention to relevant industry trends. In this position, you provide excellent client service and proactive account management, respond to clients promptly and anticipate their needs. The Account Executive supports junior team members. You are a strong writer and depending on the size of the team/team structure, you are often the first to edit or draft client communications and deliverables. You active.y participant in the business development process. You actively look for professional growth opportunities by raising hand on client work and business development projects. 

What you will be doing:

  • Play a role on multiple public affairs accounts
  • Plan topics and assignments for client meetings, based on deliverables and needs
  • Confidently participate in client calls, as appropriate
  • Ensure all client deadlines are met and quality of work is high
  • Begin to develop personal relationships with clients
  • Anticipate client needs
  • Work closely and respectfully with our internal client delivery teams, including content, digital, and design
  • Work with internal and external partners, including vendors
  • Participate in client and business development presentations, such as training opportunities, result reports, and new business proposals
  • Begin establishing self as a client POC when senior team members are unavailable.
  • Carefully monitor client news and client industries and make recommendations based on trends, proposed legislation, election results, etc.
  • Execute social media campaigns on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.
  • Identify strengths and opportunities for self and participate in company-offered professional development opportunities
  • Offer suggestions to teammates and leaders
  • Contribute to CLYDE visibility efforts

  • Regularly evaluate account management and client service, and make recommendations to improve
  • Prioritize across accounts and competing priorities, and look to account leads and management to help prioritize as needed

Qualifications/Required Skills:

  • 2–4 years of political communications experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Speak with clarity, precision, and purpose in small and large groups
  • Knows and uses AP Style; can edit AAEs and ACs work
  • Comfortable with basic social media aggregators like Sprout Social, Meltwater, Hootsuite
  • Comfortable with Microsoft and Google office products
  • Interested and comfortable learning and adopting new tech platforms
  • Interested in digital marketing and high level understanding of how SEO works
  • Interested in using practical applications of AI
  • Comfortable with digital platforms like Wikipedia, Reddit, Discord, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Campaign Manager and social media platforms
  • Experience pitching media
  • Seeks and is receptive to feedback; puts feedback into action

The salary range for this position is $56,000 - $76,200.
