What You’ll Do

Sol de Janeiro is seeking an experienced Field Sales and Training Senior Account Executive to join our dynamic sales team. This role is responsible for driving brand awareness, increasing sales, and delivering exceptional customer service. The Senior Account Executive will work closely with the Field Sales and Training Freelance Manager, Executive Director of Field Sales and Training, and key retail partners to maximize consumer-facing initiatives, execute strategic in-store programs, and elevate brand education. 

 Reporting to: Field Sales and Training Manager – Ulta 

 What You’ll Be Working On

 Retail Sales Performance 

  • Develop and manage a focus door list based on monthly sales goals and performance trends. 
  • Strategically plan seasonal call cycles in collaboration with the manager, considering sales volume and geography. 
  • Partner with retail leadership to create seasonal plans that drive retail sales through strategic support, corporate and store-led events, and training sessions. 
  • Build and strengthen relationships at all levels, from store leadership to frontline employees. 
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with senior retail leadership, including Regional Managers. 
  • Monitor inventory levels during store visits and communicate replenishment needs per account requirements. 
  • Ensure proper visual merchandising and compliance with brand guidelines and Plan-o-Gram (POG) updates. 
  • Provide regular feedback on store visits, events, and training to drive continuous improvement. 
  • Manage and oversee Travel & Expense (T&E) budgets, ensuring compliance with strategic spending. 
  • Oversee freelancer scheduling and performance management to optimize store coverage and brand presence. 
  • Lead and develop Beauty Associates into knowledgeable brand advocates. 

Field Team Management & Operations 

  • Supervise and manage a team of 8-10+ freelancers, ensuring strategic coverage of key locations. 
  • Maintain a freelance schedule at least two months in advance, adjusting for peak periods. 
  • Ensure timely invoice submissions by freelancers every Monday and approve payments promptly. 
  • Monitor and validate freelancer-reported hours, enforcing accountability for scheduling accuracy. 
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop new freelancers as business needs evolve. 
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to enhance freelancer engagement and performance. 

Business, Training & Sales Execution 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for freelancers, offering daily support and guidance. 
  • Ensure freelancers achieve an average of $120+ incremental sales per hour (SPH). 
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute a minimum of 50 events per quarter to enhance brand awareness and sales. 
  • Secure at least two master classes per quarter with Ulta to expand brand education initiatives. 
  • Identify high-impact training opportunities, including cluster trainings and in-store coaching sessions, to elevate the field team's knowledge and effectiveness. 

Reporting & Communication 

  • Submit a weekly recap of in-store business performance for assigned territories by end of day Wednesday. 
  • Track and analyze sales trends, freelancer performance, and event impact, offering data-driven recommendations for improvement. 
  • Support the execution of round robin training sessions, ensuring brand messaging consistency and strong product knowledge. 
Must Haves 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. Some college coursework or esthetician license is required. 
  • Minium 6-8 years of experience in skincare, haircare, or body care field sales, account management, or training roles, with a proven track record of leadership and strategic execution. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Experience working with ULTA is required. 
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel within the assigned territory and for events/meetings as needed. 
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with an energetic, positive, and service-oriented approach. 
  • Passion for skincare, body, and hair products, with a strong ability to execute brand education and training programs. 
  • Detail-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives. 

Additional Requirements 

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. 
  • Comfortable standing for up to 8 hours per day with scheduled breaks. 
  • 80% of the time spent in the field/in stores. 
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed. 
  • Must be located in the NYC metro area. 
Salary Range
$70,000$85,000 USD
