Business Development Manager – Carrier & Data Centre Markets

Base location: Reading (Hybrid – 2 days per week in the office)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience + performance‑related bonus + a comprehensive benefits package supporting your family, finances, and wellbeing
Working pattern: Permanent | Full-time | 37 hours per week


About the Role

Neos Networks is growing — and we’re looking for a Business Development Manager to drive new business across our Carrier and Data Centre markets. Due to our heritage, we have an extensive suit of global Carriers.

This is a high‑impact role where you’ll lead multi‑disciplined teams through the full sales cycle, shaping transformation-led, long‑term strategic deals from concept to close.

Reporting directly to the Carrier Sales Director, you’ll be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and creating the strategic approach for major sales projects. You’ll engage directly with customers at senior levels, navigating complex commercial environments, and influencing outcomes with confidence.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in high-value, consultative sales environments and is ready to take ownership of large-scale strategic opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

To excel in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the wholesale telecoms sector, demonstrating success as a leader, influencer, and winner of significant new business opportunities.

  • Direct or matrix leadership experience, guiding multi-skilled teams within a new business sales environment.

  • Strong track record in identifying, shaping, and developing bids for both new and existing customers.

  • Solid understanding of the telecoms industry and the markets Neos Networks operates in.

  • Confidence working with C‑suite and senior stakeholders, ensuring strategic alignment and effective communication throughout the sales cycle.

  • Accurate forecasting capability and the ability to manage major projects with precision and clarity.
