Reporting to the Inside Sales & Business Development Manager, the Account Development Representative is responsible for prospecting and generating new opportunities within existing accounts. This role concentrates on building customer relationships in a consultative selling approach and identifying growth accounts. In addition to traditional sales efforts, the Account Development Representative will use creative efforts to build selling programs that identify, target and close sales alongside our distribution partners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales growth through determining value of existing accounts, rebuilding underpenetrated and underserved targets to achieve annual sales quota
  • Conduct Business Reviews outlining Luxor's product mix, review of sales opportunities, sharing industry and product trends and sales strategy recommendations
  • Responsible for sales generation by driving and creating new opportunities and product selection within assigned accounts, using understanding of all Luxor's product solutions and matching those solutions to customer business needs.
  • Develop, maintain, and grow sales relationships with Luxor distribution customers alongside their end-users
  • Stay up to date on trends within assigned markets to help our distribution partners spot and close opportunities
  • Provide proper reporting of sales activities, including use of CRM (Salesforce) system and providing accurate and timely monthly opportunity pipeline reporting
  • Develop product expertise on the existing product line and positively contribute to new product development by leveraging information from customers and competitors
  • Daily quote management including pricing, phone calls, emails, freight quotes, etc.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interacting with other departments, including Marketing, Purchasing, Accounting, Customer Service
  • Other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Commitment to utilizing managing daily activities via CRM (Salesforce) software
  • Proven ability to create new sales opportunities and close
  • Strong written and verbal skills (including virtual Teams presentations)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-Motivated
  • Ability to attend floor days or tradeshows if need arises

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • 5 years of sales experience. Experience selling to resellers and their end-users preferred
  • Managing minimum $1-$2M book of business

Computer equipment and level of software requirements:

  • Intermediate PowerPoint
  • Intermediate Word
  • Intermediate Excel
  • Outlook
  • Experience using CRM (Salesforce preferred)
  • Experience using ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) to review customer and product data
