The Academic Records Assistant is responsible for processing transcript requests for current and former students, including those in Dual Enrollment and Cadet programs, and ensuring timely delivery for personal, employment, or educational purposes. The role also includes downloading and recording incoming transcripts, processing enrollment and degree verifications through the National Student Clearinghouse and maintaining compliance with FERPA regulations to protect student privacy. The Academic Records Assistant ensures that all transcript and verification requests are received, recorded, and fulfilled efficiently and accurately.
Primary Responsibilities:

Process transcript requests

Download, review, and record all incoming transcripts from other institutions

Complete enrollment and degree verifications, including submissions through the National Student Clearinghouse

Run and process enrollment verification reports as needed

Ensure all student record handling complies with FERPA and institutional privacy standards

Maintain accurate records

QualificationsMinimum:
- Highschool Diploma/GED Equivalent
- At least one year of working experience in a multifunctional environment
- Skill in oral and written communication
- Skill in utilizing and word processing software, operating a computer, using email and instant messaging for communication, typewriter, and copier
Preferred:
- Associate's Degree
- At least one year on a professional office environment
- Self-sufficient in all aspects of office and computer operating systems
Skills Required
