Ignite Education Solutions is hiring an Academic and Behavior Monitor in the Richland School District High School.

What are the duties and responsibilities?

  • Provide individualized and small-group academic support based on student needs and instructional plans.
  • Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and other behavior support strategies as directed.
  • Reinforce classroom expectations and assist students in developing appropriate social, emotional, and behavioral skills.
  • Teach and model coping, self-regulation, and problem-solving strategies.
  • Collect, document, and report behavioral and academic data accurately and consistently.
  • Support students in remaining engaged and on task during classroom instruction.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, school counselors, behavior specialists, and other educational staff to support student success.
  • Assist with de-escalation techniques using approved crisis prevention methods when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and complete required reports in a timely manner.
  • Encourage student independence while providing appropriate levels of support.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student records and information in accordance with applicable laws and district policies.
  • Attend required trainings, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

What are the required qualifications?

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, Behavioral Sciences, Human Services, or a related field required.
  • Valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate preferred or required based on district assignment.
  • Additional training or certification in behavior management, trauma-informed practices, crisis prevention, or social-emotional learning is preferred.
