Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team in Bangalore (BLR). The ideal candidate will have a solid background in network infrastructure, Linux, and virtualization. This role involves managing and optimizing our network operations, ensuring secure and efficient connectivity across all systems.
Responsibilities
Network Infrastructure Management:
Configure, manage, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
Maintain and optimize network performance to ensure reliability and security.
System Administration:
Manage and maintain Linux-based systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
Implement and support virtualization solutions, with experience in Ovirt being a plus.
Open-Source Tools & Scripting:
Utilize open-source tools for various network management and monitoring tasks.
Develop and maintain light scripts for automation and task optimization.
Network Monitoring:

• Monitor network performance using tools like Zabbix; experience with Zabbix is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in network engineering (12+ years) with a strong understanding of network protocols and infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Linux system administration and virtualization technologies.
• Experience with virtualization (Ovirt preferred).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Skills:

• Network switch and router configuration
• Linux CLI
• Experience with Ovirt virtualization platform.
• Hands-on experience with open-source network tools and light scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).
