We are Software Mind, an awesome team of engineers who are ready to ramp up any top-notch company’s projects! Our aim? To always be one step ahead. Become part of a multicultural company in constant growth with an excellent work environment certified by Great Place To Work!
Job Description
Project – the aim you’ll have
Software Mind is partnering with a leading US-based promotional products and e-commerce company to build a new shipping and delivery service for its white-label B2B commerce platform, built on Shopify Plus with a .NET microservices backend on AWS. The service integrates with major shipping carriers, the e-commerce storefront, and existing order management systems. It is a short, focused engagement: a discovery phase followed by two-week sprints through to production release.
Position – how you’ll contribute:
• Define the test strategy, quality metrics, and test approach during discovery
• Derive test cases from acceptance criteria in collaboration with the Business Analyst
• Test REST APIs end-to-end: functional, contract, negative, and boundary scenarios
• Validate business-rule logic, including date/time and edge-case scenarios
• Run integration tests against third-party APIs and sandboxes, including error and timeout handling
• Test event-driven, asynchronous flows (queues, retries, error handling)
• Execute end-to-end e-commerce scenarios across storefront, backend services, and downstream systems
• Build and maintain automated API and regression suites running in CI/CD
• Test web admin interfaces
• Coordinate with client and partner QA teams; drive defect triage, UAT support, and release-readiness sign-off
Qualifications
Expectations – the experience you need
• 5+ years in software QA, including 3+ years of API and integration test automation
• Strong REST API testing skills: JSON, OpenAPI / Swagger, Postman or code-based frameworks
• Test automation in C# / .NET (xUnit / NUnit, Reqnroll / SpecFlow) or TypeScript (Playwright)
• Experience testing asynchronous, event-driven systems (AWS SQS / SNS or equivalent)
• Rigorous test design: decision tables, boundary values, equivalence partitioning
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Defect and test management in Jira (Xray, Zephyr, or similar)
• Experience coordinating with client-side QA and supporting UAT in multi-vendor projects
• Excellent communication in English — written and spoken — for daily client interaction
