Who You Are: You are a passionate and driven Front End Engineer who loves building high-quality,

user-friendly web applications. You care about UI craftsmanship, performance, and clean, maintainable

code. You enjoy collaborating closely with product designers and cross-functional teams to turn designs

into polished, accessible, responsive interfaces. You take ownership, solve problems proactively, and

consistently deliver reliable results.

 

What You Will Do: As a Front End Engineer at Nicoya Health, you will build and improve web

applications used by non-technical users, including doctors and end consumers. Your main focus will be

implementing and evolving the front-end user experience in React, ensuring a smoot

Qualifications

Core Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain responsive, accessible user interfaces using React and TypeScript.

• Implement UI based on designs and specifications, collaborating closely with product designers

and product managers.

• Develop reusable UI components and contribute to consistent UI patterns across the product

(experience with design systems/component libraries is a plus).

• Integrate front-end features with back-end services and REST APIs to ensure reliable application

behavior (including loading, error, and empty states).

• Ensure front-end quality through testing, debugging, and troubleshooting (experience with

automated testing is a plus).

• Optimize front-end performance and ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.

• Follow best practices for security and privacy when handling user data.

• Collaborate with back-end engineers, QA, and product to ship improvements iteratively.

 

What We Need from You:

• BS/MS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related Engineering field.

• 7+ years of industry experience as a Front End Engineer building web applications.

• Strong proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React).

• Solid understanding of component architecture, maintainable front-end patterns, and working

with APIs.

• Experience integrating with REST APIs and handling real-world edge cases.

• Knowledge of front-end performance optimization techniques and best practices.

• Familiarity with modern front end build tools and workflows (e.g., Vite, Webpack; experience

with modern tooling is a plus).• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

• Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and ability to collaborate in a cross-functional

team.

• Creativity in problem-solving, along with strong collaboration and communication skills.
