Role Overview
Machine Learning and AI is one of the four pillars, and you will be a part of the project teams as equivalent members. We are looking for candidates with a firm grasp of machine learning algorithms, data analytics, and software development practices.

You apply your knowledge to real-life cases while boosting your understanding of engineering and business. Main Responsibilities
Senior ML Engineers lead the data and analytics-related workstream of the projects and have customer-facing experience daily. We usually operate from the customer site as a project team. The result of our projects is a tangible and sustainable improvement. We want people who are interested in delivering results rather than only creating long reports.
We expect you to use your problem-solving, analytical and relationship-building skills to solve customer problems. You should have clear communication skills to explain the technicalities of your workstream to the project team and to the customer in a simple manner.
- Working with the experts to set the standards for industry-grade machine learning and software engineering practices
- Helping to define and develop successful, robust and scalable models at every phase, including:
- Deciding convenient approaches and suitable tools
- Gathering, transforming and processing data
- Applying statistical analysis and prescription
- Building, testing and deploying models
- Reverse engineering or refactoring existing solutions to understand better, improve and extend their impacts and benefits
- Following both academic and industrial developments regarding AI/ML applications; publishing relevant content if possible
Qualifications for the role
- MSc/PhD or degree in Computer Science or a relevant subject. Surprise us with your skills without these degrees!
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
- Well-established foundation of machine learning principles and software engineering standards
- Solid understanding of statistical and machine learning algorithms and models, such as tree-based methods, probabilistic approaches, linear/nonlinear models, and deep learning
- Knowledge and experience of computer vision, natural language processing, signal processing and big data practices
- Good coding skills, especially in Python. Experience with standard libraries in ML pipelines such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, PySpark, SciKit-Learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch, NLTK, GenSim, OpenCV, MatPlotLib, Seaborn, etc.
- Familiarity with relational/non-relational databases, application development frameworks, and POSIX-based systems

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a top university (Successful profiles to date came from İTÜ, ODTÜ, Boğaziçi, Bilkent, Koç, Sabancı, and Galatasaray but we love to be challenged)
- MBA is preferred
- 5-15 years of industry or a global consulting experience
- Good understanding of one of the following industries is preferred (Banking, Insurance, FMCG, Retail, marketplace, fintech)
- High analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear communications skills
- Can work effectively from the shop floor up to the Board level
