Purpose of the Job

  • Identify opportunities in the blockchain ecosystem that can lead to creation of new business offers and eventually become teams inside Protofire.
  • Describe the new offers, validate their market fit, and build the models for customer acquisition. Constantly improve ROI of the incubation efforts and design new offers with economical models superior to the existing offers.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Innovation and Market Trends: Anticipate and comprehend the latest market trends, proposing the development of new products or solutions aligned with market demands. Work collaboratively to identify needs and design innovative offer solutions to potential customers, showcasing leveraging Protofire’s the node's capabilities and expertise as well as aligning with existing offers and customer base. Make sure that cumulative value of several Protofire offers exceeds their individual value (1+1=3)
  2. Sales and Business Development: Work individually as well as with the marketing, sales, and engineering teams to validate offer hypotheses and generate opportunities Iterate on improving the offers to ensure the highest possible conversions across the sales funnel Create and maintain sales and marketing collateral to ensure the best team performance Manage the offer team(s) to achieve their quarterly and annual goals Manage opportunities within the new offers end-to-end, engaging pre-sales engineers, crafting proposals, leading negotiation and closing sales.
  3. Budget Management: Secure the offer budgets to fund market research and sales pipeline development Effectively manage the node's budget, strategically allocating resources to attract, train, reward, and optimize talent based on business goals.
  4. Funding and Investment: Proactively seek grants or venture capital funds to invest in solutions developed by the node, either for proprietary products for Protofire or for solutions to create for other protocols and clients. Navigate funding opportunities to support sustainable growth and innovation.
  5. Industry Engagement: Participate in conferences and industry events to establish and nurture a network with key players. Stay informed about the latest technologies and trends, positioning the node as a thought leader in the blockchain development space.
  6. Management, Supervision and Coaching Make decisions about assigning offer owners’ responsibilities to Protofire members. Develop and improve offer management framework. Train offer owners on how to use the Protofire offer management framework. Oversee and guarantee customer success of projects within the new offers, participating in the delivery of such engagements.

Requirements:

Technical Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in sales and business development within the blockchain or technology industry.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and creating business cases using frameworks such as the lean canvas model.
  • Familiarity with blockchain technologies, market dynamics, and the ability to propose innovative solutions.
  • Have some technical knowledge and or background on the main technologies we work with, so that the person can present and discuss the solutions with clients. (desirable)
