Job Responsibilities:
The Industry 4.0 Intern will play a crucial role in supporting our digital transformation initiatives. This position involves assisting in data collection and storage, programming, and collaborating with end users to identify and implement innovative solutions. The intern will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to projects that enhance operational efficiency and drive automation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the collection and analysis of data to support Industry 4.0 projects.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of software solutions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and deliver effective solutions.
  • Participating in the testing and validation of new technologies and processes.
  • Contributing to documentation and reporting of project outcomes.


Ideal candidates should have a strong interest in technology and innovation, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and be eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct reports
Education and/or Experience:

  • Two (2) - four (4) year degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Programming
  • Two (2) - four (4) years of job related or equivalent experience


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Programming skills using Python, C++, Django, Ignition
  • Able to work well with others; build and maintain positive employee relations.
  • Must communicate well and have good organizational skills
  • Proven team player
  • Proven self-starter
  • Able to resolve user problems on a timely basis
  • Able to prepare, read, write and interpret reports, instructions, procedures and business correspondence.
  • Able to clearly and effectively respond to questions from management, employees, suppliers and customers.
  • Able to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Able to work flexible hours


Physical Demands:

  • Will spend time on production floor testing equipment.


Environmental Conditions:

  • General office environment with occasional exposure to general factory environment.
  • Will be required to wear steel toed shoes when on production floor. Other PPE will be furnished by Magna.
