3D - Senior Technical Artist

We’re redefining how games are made and how players express themselves—now leveraging generative AI to bring 3D assets (props, terrains, worlds, characters, clothing, hair, animation, VFX, and more) to life at an unprecedented pace and quality.

We’re seeking a Senior 3DGen - Technical Artist with great communication skills, a deep 3D expertise, and a passion for solving tough but rewarding challenges. You’ll be instrumental in developing new workflows and pipelines powered by generative AI—pushing the boundaries of what’s possible while ensuring our artists have the tools and guidance to create world-class content. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain 3D art production workflows utilizing generative AI tools and systems.

• Collaborate closely with product managers, art directors, artists, and engineering leads to ensure solutions align with creative vision and production needs.  

• Drive innovation for AI-powered 3D content creation, including characters, environments, props, and other interactive elements.

• Build, extend, and optimize pipelines for quick iteration on generative 3D assets—ensuring integration into our game engine is frictionless for artists.  

• Serve as the technical mentor and bridge between artists and engineers—clearly conveying complex technical information to diverse audiences.

• Evaluate new AI technologies and introduce them where beneficial to streamline or enhance existing pipelines.

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues in production, proactively implementing best practices to minimize downtime and improve asset quality.

• Document workflows, share best practices, and provide training to empower cross-functional teams to leverage generative AI solutions effectively.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in gaming or related industries with a focus on technical art and 3D pipelines.

• Familiarity with ongoing AI advancements (e.g., ComfyUI, advanced 3D generative models) and a keen interest in experimenting with emerging technology.

• Proven track record in building and implementing workflows for character creation, environment modeling, or other 3D asset production.

• Strong coding/scripting ability (e.g., Python) to create, maintain, and automate pipeline tools.

• Excellent cross-functional communication skills—capable of clearly articulating technical concepts to artists, product managers, and engineers.

• Thrives in a fast-paced environment, finding creative solutions to complex technical challenges.

• Passionate about AI-driven art production and excited to push the boundaries of Generative AI for 3D content creation.

• Solid understanding of performance and optimization considerations for 3D assets in game engines.

Pluses:

• Background in character modeling, rigging, or animation—especially in AAA or mobile console/PC titles.

• Experience with VFX, shader development, or node-based shader editors.

• Broad technical art skill set—comfortable jumping into any pipeline challenge to ensure quality and efficiency.

• History of designing or contributing to advanced tools and workflows adopted widely by artists.
